Classical Ballet.
Students study under the Syllabus of the British Ballet Organisation (BBO.)
Established in 1930 BBO a brilliant training system. Choreographed by Brenda Last, the training is beautiful, elegant, and strong.
This (BBO) for me feels the best to a dancers body, and sees the best results.
This work is well enjoyed by the students of The Dance House and have resulted in a high standard and pass rate by a well balanced and beautiful approach to classical ballet.

Contemporary Dance.
This is a well devised syllabus that develops well over the levels.
Choreographed by Ann Dewey, NZAMD introduced this Contemporary syllabus in 2002, and since then it has grown steadily as teachers recognize its value. It is especially popular in ballet studios.
This syllabus is about enjoying music and freedom of movement and helping the dancer feel space and breadth of movement. While teaching them to understand the concepts of contemporary movement such as weight, flow, momentum, and the use of gravity, the students continue to enjoy a sense of dance as they progress up through the levels.

Introductory is aimed at students of about 9 to 10 years of age. Examinations in 8 levels plus Solo Performance Diploma
We currently have 4 levels and 2010 will develop this syllabus further.
Exams - Students sit exams in August of each year.
Awards - Report card and certificate.
Medal Awards allow students to perform in front of a friendly audience in a fun and non-judgmental atmosphere.  Click here for more information.

American Jazz.

The work fully trains the Student in all aspects.  It is up to-date, fun and exciting to learn. The syllabus is constantly upgraded which ensures a freshness and vitality for our students.
Exams -Technical Examinations are conducted in August of each year. Students are examined in groups. The maximum number in each group is eight.
Awards - The Affiliation gives monetary awards to the candidates with the highest mark in each level and a cash award is given each year to the most promising Advanced Student.
